Centered Strength: The Core

When we are centered, we feel calm, relaxed, stronger, and better able to deal with the challenges that we may encounter in daily life. The difficulty is that it's not always easy to be centered when we are stressed by our responsibilities at home and work.

In this seminar, we will apply ancient Asian philosophies to access the strength available at the core of our Center. We will learn and practice simple processes that will enable us to
• calm and center ourselves quickly and easily, even during stressful situations
• embody positive qualities so deeply that we energize ourselves and uplift those around us
• communicate more effectively with others by changing the way we access our natural energy centers during interactions with friends, family, co-workers, and clients
• connect meaningfully with others without becoming distracted or losing focus
• create a sense of spaciousness that offers us breathing room and improves our ability to respond rather than react to difficult situations
• align our energy structure so that more of our energy is available for achieving our goals
• interact with others more skillfully, effectively and with less effort and
• increase awareness and expand perception so we can handle stress with more dignity and grace

When we come from a place of centered strength, we
• Feel healthier and more energized
• Make better choices and decisions
• Are more focused and effective leaders, teachers, and practitioners
• Communicate more clearly and effectively
• Are more fully embodied, connected with our emotions, and present with our mental processes
• Are kinder and more compassionate in our interactions with family, friends, co-workers, students, partners, children, and others.

For people who lead teams and organizations, this work offers
• Insight into leadership patterns and how to lead more clearly and effectively
• Powerful approaches for dealing with resistance and getting more support for your projects
• Ways to reduce the stress of dealing with uncertainty and decision making in high pressure situations
• Understanding how we set goals and deal with both success and "failure"

For people who interact with customers/clients, this work is especially helpful in offering ways to
• Center and ground ourselves so that we can help others and feel great afterwards
• Connect deeply with clients while maintaining our own energy field
• Listen and speak from a balanced and spacious place that includes awareness of other perspectives
• Integrate our energy centers so that we more easily attract customers and grow our business

Centered Strength integrates the philosophies and concepts of QiGong, Taoism, Conscious Embodiment, and Light Body to benefit our health, work, and relationships.

When: June 30-July 1, 2012, Weekend 9:30AM-5PM, and August 13-14, Monday-Tuesday 9:30-5PM
Location: SF Bay Area, CA
Cost: Standard Tuition: $350, Early Bird Tuition: $325 if paid in full 14 days in advance.
Registration: Please send an email (joyce@thepath.us) and a $75 deposit (or full payment for the Early Bird Discount) to reserve your place in the class. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 14 days before class. Full payment is due 7 days before class starts.
